Before presenting his credentials to Governor-General Young, Ambassador de Vega also presented the open copy of his letter of credence to Belizean Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington. During this meeting, Minister Elrington and Ambassador discussed the possibility of future cooperation in agriculture and tourism.
Ambassador de Vega also paid courtesy calls on the Prime Minister of Belize, Hon. Dean Barrow, and the mayor of Belmopan, Hon. Khalid Belisle.
Belize, formerly known as British Honduras, is a small country on the eastern coast of Central America.
