Filipino Film "Kun Maupay Man it Panahon" to be shown in Guanajuato International Film Festival

The Philippine Embassy invites everyone to please watch and support Kun Maupay Man It Panahon Whether the weather is fine ,  directed by Carlo Francisco Manatad . Its a Filipino film participating in the 2021 Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) from 17-26 September 2021.  This film won the Cinema e Gioventù Prize from the Concorso Cineasti del presente Junior Jury at the 74th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland last August.  You can check out the screening schedule at http://programa.giff.mx/esp/2021/pelicula/1458

Himig Migrasyon 2021: Songwriting Contest

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas formally opens nomination for its first ever HIMIG MIGRASYON: SONGWRITING CONTEST. This Songwriting Contest aims to make music as an advocacy tool to raise public awareness on the life of our overseas Filipinos and the issues and challenges they face abroad. CFO is searching for a musical piece that will embody the inspiring and challenging life of an overseas Filipino and their migration journey. CFO Secretary Francisco P. Acosta said that the song will serve as a tribute to the sacrifices and important contributions of the 10 million Filipinos overseas to their host countries and to Philippine development, and during this time of global pandemic.
