In celebration of Filipino Food Month 2025, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico proudly showcased the Philippine culinary heritage through a virtual lecture and Filipino Food Bazaar.
The April episode of the La Historia Olvidada: Filipinas – México 2025, held via Zoom on 25 April 2025, featured Filipino artist, restaurateur, and food writer, Chef Claude Tayag. The lecture centered on his new book, entitled “The Philippines – More Mexican than Spanish: Foodways that Crossed the Pacific,” the origins of Philippine and Mexican cuisines, and their similarities and influences on each other.
Philippine flavors took center stage at the Filipino Food Bazaar held at the Embassy grounds on 27 April 2025. The bazaar featured homemade traditional Filipino dishes, snacks, and desserts, prepared by members of the Filipino community in Mexico.
