Requirements for Repatriation of Human Remains

1. A certificate of death issued by the local civil registrar, or similar authority, showing the name, age and nationality of the deceased person, as well as the place, date and cause of death, as certified by the attending physician;
2. A duly notarized certificate issued by the Mortuary/Funeral Director, stating that the body was properly embalmed/cremated in accordance with internationally accepted health practices; that it is in a sanitary condition consistent with existing standards for overseas shipment; and that the casket/urn has been hermetically sealed and contains only the remains of the deceased;
3. A Certificate of Non-Contagious Disease issued by the proper health authority, stating that the deceased did not die of contagious disease or that the remains to be shipped did not originate from a place contaminated by a contagious disease;
4. A transit permit issued by the proper health authority at the place where transportation begins;
5. Original passport of the deceased person
6. Please mail the above requirements to Embassy. The Philippine Embassy in Mexico, upon receipt of the abovementioned documents, will issue a Consular Mortuary Certificate
7. Certification fee: Cash or bank cashier´s cheque payable to Embajada de la Republica de Filipinas and :​

Courier fee                    :  US$39.60 - outside Mexico ( M$ 574.20)

Guidelines on Departure Formalities for International-bound passengers in all airports and seaports in the country

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9208, otherwise known as the "Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003", and its implementing Rules and Regulations, Republic Act No. 8042, otherwise known as the "Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995", as amended by Republic Act. Advisory on Drug Mules

Inline with the earlier call of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for a comprehensive, coordinated campaign against illegal drug smuggling syndicates, the Embassy stated that the advisory is most helpful in the Philippine Government's information and awareness campaign on drug smuggling and the victimization of Filipinos as drug couriers.
