LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MÉXICO 2024- EP 6

The Embassy of the Philippines in Mexico, in partnership with the University of the Philippines-Diliman, El Colegio de San Luis, and Philippine-Mexico Studies Program, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), invites everyone to the sixth episode of LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MEXICO 2024, a virtual colloquium series on Philippine-Mexico relations, to be held via Zoom on 19 July 2024 at 6:30-8:00 P.M., Mexico City time (20 July 2024 at 8:30-10:00 A.M., Philippine time).

The resource speaker, Dra. Claudia Rocha Valverde, PhD in Art History Professor/Researcher, El Colegio de San Luis AC, Potosi, Mexico will talk on “Murillo Velarde´s Map (18th century): Traces of Shared Cultural Landscape: Mexico-Philippines". Her presentation will be in English.

PH Embassy in Mexico Celebrates 126th Philippine Independence DAy

The Philippine Embassy in Mexico celebrated the 126th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence at Club Naval on 12 June 2024 with the theme "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan."

More than 120 members of the diplomatic corps, officials from the Mexican government, and other partners and friends attended the reception hosted by Philippine Ambassador Lilybeth R. Deapera.

The event also featured the launching of the Commemorative Book on the year-long celebration of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Mexico relations, as well as a cultural performance showcasing Filipino folk dances Habanera de Jovencita and Paseo de Iloilo.

UNA LARGA HISTORIA DE CULTURA COMPARTIDA: FREE CONCERT

The Embassy of the Philippines in Mexico, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) of the Philippines and the Ministry of Culture of Mexico (SECULT), invites you or your representative/s to the joint concert to close the year-long celebration of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Mexico relations to be held at Sala Manuel M. Ponce at the Palace of Fine Arts on 10 April 2024 at 07:00 p.m.

The event features “The Nightingales”, a soprano-duo from the Philippines, as well as mezzo-soprano Andrea Pancardo and soprano Luz Valeria Viveros from the Opera Center of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) of Mexico.

Gate will open at 06:30 p.m. and entrance is free to the public.

La Embajada de Filipinas en México, en cooperación con la Comisión Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (NCCA) de Filipinas y la Secretaría de Cultura (SECULT) de México, le invitan a usted o sus representantes al concierto en conjunto para la clausura del año conmemorativo del 70 aniversario de las Relaciones entre México y Filipinas, que se llevará a cabo en la sala Manuel Ponce en el Palacio de Bellas artes el 10 de abril del 2024 a las 7:00 p. m.

Dicho evento cuenta con la participación de “The Nightingales”, un dúo filipino de sopranos, así como la mezzo-soprano Andrea Pancardo y la soprano Lux Valeria Viveros del Centro de Opera del Instituto Nacional de las Bellas Artes y la Literatura (INBAL) de México.

La puerta se abrirá a las 06:30 pm y la entrada es gratuita para el público.
