PHILIPPINES AND CUBA FORGE AGREEMENT ON POLITICAL CONSULTATION
The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines represented by Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba represented by Non-Resident Ambassador of Cuba to the Philippines Florentino Batista González marked a significant milestone in diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cuba with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations.

PH EMBASSY IN MEXICO CONTINUES TO PROMOTE PH-MEXICO RELATIONS AT THE NATIONAL AUTOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MEXICO
As part of the commemorative activities of the 70th anniversary of PH-Mexico relations and the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program at UNAM, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico conducted a lecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on 14 December 2023.
Speaking in the hybrid event, represented by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Marisa R. Winkler focused on the rich history of the seven decades of partnership between the two countries, particularly on its political, economic and socio-cultural cooperation.
The Philippine Embassy extends its sincerest appreciation to Dr. Ivan Valdez-Bubnov, Point of Contact and Academic Coordinator of the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program at UNAM, for helping us make this event a success.

PH EMBASSY IN MEXICO VISITS ESCUELA SECUNDARIA DIURNA NO. 87 "REPUBLIC DE FILIPINAS" TO PROMOTE PH-MEXICO RELATIONS
The Philippine Embassy in Mexico, represented by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Marisa R. Winkler, gave a lecture on the general overview of Philippines-Mexico relations to more than 30 students of the Escuela Secundaria Diurna No. 87 "República de Filipinas" on 11 December 2023 as part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Philippine Embassy thanks Director Mariano Reyes Escamilla for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to promote the strengthening of our bilateral cooperation during this milestone commemoration.
PH EMBASSY CONCLUDES THE OBSERVANCE OF THE 18-DAY CAMPAIGN AGAINST VAW WITH A SELF-DEFENSE ARNIS CLASS
The Philippine Embassy in Mexico invited the Sistemas de Defensa Personal Urbana to teach a basic arnis class for self-defense in culmination of the 18-day campaign to end violence against women (VAW) on 11 December 2023.
Throughout the campaign from 25 November to 12 December 2023, the personnel of the Philippine Embassy and the members of the Filipino Community were encouraged to wear an orange ribbon to symbolize their support on the elimination of VAW in the society.
The Philippine Embassy wishes to express its appreciation to Ms. Luisa Isani Gonzalez Guerrero and Mr. Lenin Betanzo Mendoza for sharing their knowledge during the arnis class.
