The Philippine Embassy in Mexico celebrated the 126th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence at Club Naval on 12 June 2024 with the theme "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan."
More than 120 members of the diplomatic corps, officials from the Mexican government, and other partners and friends attended the reception hosted by Philippine Ambassador Lilybeth R. Deapera.
The event also featured the launching of the Commemorative Book on the year-long celebration of the 70th anniversary of Philippines-Mexico relations, as well as a cultural performance showcasing Filipino folk dances Habanera de Jovencita and Paseo de Iloilo.
