The Embassy of the Philippines in Mexico, in partnership with the University of the Philippines-Diliman, El Colegio de San Luis, and Philippine-Mexico Studies Program, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) invites you to the ninth episode of LA HISTORIA OLVIDADA: FILIPINAS-MEXICO 2024, a virtual colloquium series on Philippine-Mexico relations, to be held via Zoom on 18 October 2024 at 6:30-8:00 P.M., Mexico City time (19 October 2024 at 8:30-10:00 A.M., Philippine time).
The resource speaker Dr. Emmanuel Franco Calairo, Chairman, Cavite Historical Society and Former Chairman, National Historical Commission of the Philippines, will talk on “The Cavite Studies Center and the Preservation of the Manila Galleon Heritage.”
This colloquium series aims to highlight pivotal events and contexts that have shaped the engagements between the Philippines and Mexico, spanning from the sixteenth century to the contemporary period.
