The Philippine Embassy in Mexico gets further boost in promoting Philippine gastronomy and culture with the support from celebrated chef and artist Claude Tayag during his call to Ambassador Lilybeth R. Deapera on 11 February 2025.

Chef Tayag, a renowned Filipino chef, writer and artist, is currently in Mexico to research the history and connection between Filipino and Mexican food for his upcoming book, "Filipinas: More Mexican than Spanish”. The meeting between the Embassy and the chef centered on collaborative activities surrounding the said book, such as a book launch accompanied by a talk and cooking demonstration.

Watch out for the April episode of the La Historia Olvidada: Filipinas-México 2025 as Chef Tayag will be a guest speaker in time for the celebration of Filipino Food Month. END.
