PH EMBASSY IN MEXICO SHOWCASES PH CULTURE AT THE WESTHILL INSTITUTE FOUNDATION DAY
Mexico City – The Philippine Embassy in Mexico participated in the Westhill Institute Foundation Day on 05 April 2025 at the Westhill Institute – Santa Fe Campus.
The event saw the attendance of representatives from the embassies of South Korea, the United States of America, and the Philippines. Students of the prestigious educational institution presented performances that were culturally inspired by various countries, such as Brazil, India, Ghana, Mexico, and South Korea, among others.
The embassy personnel and volunteers performed the Binasuan, Kuratsa, and Tinikling. Mexican volunteers demonstrated the Philippine national sport and martial art, Arnis.
The annual event celebrates the rich cultural diversity within the institution’s community. END.

The Philippine Embassy in Mexico is once again opening its doors for the 4th edition of the Filipino Food Bazaar. Members of the Filipino community will be selling your favorite Filipino food!
Everyone is cordially invited to taste the Filipino cuisine on 27 April 2025 from 11am to 5pm.
This will only be a one-day event. So, see you there!
PH EMBASSY IN MEXICO WELCOMES THE DELEGATION TO THE INTER-PARLIAMENTARIAN UNION GLOBAL CONFERENCE OF WOMEN PARLIAMENTARIANS
The Philippine Embassy in Mexico welcomed and met with Congresswoman Geraldine B. Roman, Congresswoman Maria Rene Ann Lourdes G. Matibag, and Committee Secretary of the House Committee on Women and Gender Equality Ms. Joy Elena C. Piccio, members of the Philippine delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians, on 13 March 2025.
With the theme "From Mexico to the world: Let's mobilize for gender parity!", the Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians was intended as a platform to discuss good practices in advancing women's political participation and leadership. The participants heard from a diverse group of parity parliaments, identified challenges in ensuring equal representation and influence for women, and explored effective strategies toward achieving gender parity. The event was jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Senate of Mexico.
Congresswoman Roman emphasized that the conference is an inspiring step towards a more inclusive and progressive society. Both Representatives discussed and shared their experiences as women legislators in the Philippines, as well as the challenges and difficulties in passing pro-women and pro-LGBTQ bills. END
