The Philippines and México kickstarted the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations
The Philippines and Mexico kickstarted the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the illumination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico on 13 April 2023.
In attendance were the Philippine Embassy in Mexico led by Ambassador-designate Lilybeth R. Deapera, and officials from the Ministry led by the Director General for Asia Pacific Fernando González Saiffe and Ambassador-designate of Mexico to the Philippines Daniel Hernández Joseph.

In a brief tête-à-tête also joined by Director General for Asia Pacific Fernando Gonzáles Saiffe, Ambassador-designate Deapera expressed readiness to work closely with the Ministry in strengthening PH-Mexico relations, especially as both countries celebrate their 70th anniversary this year.
2023 national women's month
The Philippine Embassy in Mexico joins the Filipino nation in celebrating the National Women´s Month (NWMC). The theme for this year, "WE for gender equality and inclusive society” is in line with the UN Women’s International Women’s Day theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, which calls for the empowerment of women and girls toward maximizing their benefit from innovation and technology and bridging the gender gap in ICT and connectivity.
The NWMC is one of the annual advocacy events spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women. It promotes public awareness on women’s issues and recognizes the vital role of women in society.
National Arts Month 2023
In celebration of the National Arts Month 2023 with the theme "Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing," the Philippine Embassy in Mexico is proud to feature Filipino painters in Mexico, Mr. Oliver de Leon Reyes and Ms. Melanie Beloncio.
