The Philippine Embassy in Mexico invites all Filipinos from its jurisdiction to read the above Press Release from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas calling for Nominations for the 2024 PRESIDENTIAL AWARDS FOR FILIPINO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS OVERSEAS (PAFIOO).
The Embassy highly encourages our kababayans to nominate individuals or organizations, whom they think are worthy and deserving to be nominated to any of the four (4) prestigious categories, namely;
a) Lingkod sa Kapwa (LINKAPIL) Award,
b) Banaag Award,
c) Pamana ng Pilipino Award, and
d) Kaanib ng Bayan Award.

PHilippine AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO GUATEMALAN PRESIDENT
Dr. Alejandro Giammattei, President of the Republic of Guatemala, received the credentials of H.E. Lilybeth R. Deapera as Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines in a ceremony held at the Presidential House in Guatemala City on 14 December 2023.

PHILIPPINES AND CUBA FORGE AGREEMENT ON POLITICAL CONSULTATION
The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines represented by Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba represented by Non-Resident Ambassador of Cuba to the Philippines Florentino Batista González marked a significant milestone in diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cuba with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations.

PH EMBASSY IN MEXICO CONTINUES TO PROMOTE PH-MEXICO RELATIONS AT THE NATIONAL AUTOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF MEXICO
As part of the commemorative activities of the 70th anniversary of PH-Mexico relations and the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program at UNAM, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico conducted a lecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on 14 December 2023.
Speaking in the hybrid event, represented by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Marisa R. Winkler focused on the rich history of the seven decades of partnership between the two countries, particularly on its political, economic and socio-cultural cooperation.
The Philippine Embassy extends its sincerest appreciation to Dr. Ivan Valdez-Bubnov, Point of Contact and Academic Coordinator of the Philippine-Mexico Studies Program at UNAM, for helping us make this event a success.
