PH NON-RESIDENT AMBASSADOR DESIGNATE PRESENTS A COPY OF HER CREDENTIALS TO THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
H.E. Lilybeth R. Deapera presented a copy of her credentials as Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Dominican Republic.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs José Julio Gómez Beato presided over the virtual ceremony held on 06 February 2024.
The ceremony aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the Philippines and the Dominican Republic which share commonalities because of their colonial history.
Ambassador Deapera extended her appreciation to the Ministry for the opportunity to present a copy of her credentials. She was among the seven Non-Resident Ambassadors who participated in the ceremony.
PH THROWS SUPPORT FOR THE NEW CHAIR OF THE ASEAN COMMITTEE IN MEXICO CITY
Philippine Ambassador Lilybeth R. Deapera expressed her support to the new Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Mexico City (ACMC), VietNam Ambassador H.E. Nguyen Hoahn Nam, during the turn over ceremony of the chairmanship from Thai Ambassador H.E. Paisan Rupanichkij on 31 January 2024 held at the Thai Ambassador's official residence.
Ambassador Rupanichkij expressed his appreciation for the support extended by the ACMC members to all the activities under the Thai chairmanship which included the business mission to Queretaro, ASEAN Day celebration, ASEAN Bazaar, and ASEAN Family Day.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Nam presented their proposed activities such as a business mission to San Luis Potosi and an ASEAN sports event in addition to other awareness-raising activities to promote the ASEAN Community in Mexico.
